Welcome to Hotels of Sydney

Sydney Harbour is often seen as the stunning focal point that defines this beautiful city. Framed by a dramatic cityscape and surrounded by sandstone cliffs, coves and numerous beaches it is certainly the most beautiful harbour in the world.

No trip to Sydney is complete without a cruise on the harbour, a visual feast of beaches, parks, sandstone caves, sea craft, historic homes and harbour islands. Made only more memorable by the iconic presence of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Subject of thousands of postcards and t-shirts, image on millions of happy snaps, the Sydney Opera House is Australia’s most recognizable icon. Finished in 1973, it now has an impressive yearly program of up to 3000 contemporary and classical performances and is a truly memorable place for theatre, opera and ballet, in one of the most magnificent city settings of anywhere in the world.

Guided Tours operate daily between 9am and 4pm and take up to one hour. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is still recognized as the old ‘coat hanger’ and has many a story to tell, including the notorious painting job of Paul Hogan, a.k.a Crocodile Dundee. More accessible than ever it is possible to have a memorable, if not sensational, Bridge Climb.

Just 10 minutes monorail ride from the city centre, Darling Harbour is one big showcase of fun and entertainment primarily set up for the enjoyment of visitors to Sydney. Once a thriving dockland, its decline resulted in its reinvention as the dazzling Darling Harbour.

It was redeveloped in 1988 to coincide with the 200th anniversary of European settlement of Australia and began with the construction of a large exhibition and conference centre, which has been complemented with the addition of shops, restaurants and other attractions. Whatever your taste there is is plenty to see and do in this beautiful city.

Flying in Australia
Check in early for your flight and dress in neat manner. If you do this then your requests for the better seats will have a better change of being obtained.

If you need more leg room and are able to assist in the unlikely event of an emergency, ask to be seated in a row that serves as an exit door. Be flexible in your flight times as cheaper flight may be at unusual times of the day. Morning and late afternoon are usually heavily booked by business people travelling between the capital cities. Book your flights as soon as you can - generally the more time between the booking date and to the departure date, the cheaper the flight.

On longer flights, particularly a night, on check-in try to be moved if your seat in adjacent to the toilets. Travel insurance is relatively inexpensive and is a must, particularly if you are booking flights and accommodation well in advance.
